Wordless Wednesday 8/17/2016 Leelee the Contented Dachshund is Sleepy

Wordless Wednesday 8/17/2016 Leelee the Contented Dachshund is Sleepy

Leelee the contented dachshund does not like to miss out on anything.  She will fall asleep standing up.  It is so cute when she tries to fight sleep so much, she falls asleep standing.

Leelee the contented dachshund's favorite pillow is mom.  She feels safe and usually sleeps the best when she is sleeping on me.  But if she hears any type of noise she jumps right up.

Leelee, the Contented Dachshund, Turns 15

Leelee, the Content Dachshund, Turns 15

Today is Leelee, the contented dachshund's 15th Birthday.  It's a miracle that she has made it this long.  If my family would not have adopted here almost six years ago, I don't think she would still be alive.  Just four months after she joined my family, a vet told, me to take her home and make her as comfortable as possible.  The vet didn't think she was going to make it.  By some miracle, she pulled through and is still with us.

Here it is five years later and Leelee, the contented dachshund, is turning 15.  Making it to 15 years after going through all that this poor little dachshund has is great.  She is such a sweet little dog, and I am happy to have her as apart of my family.  She has brought so much joy and happiness to my family, just being her silly little dachshund self.

It's like when she came to live with us she got a second life.  She has learned how to play and loves to be around people.  There are times when she acts like a puppy.   If she thinks no one is watching, she will go around the house knocking over all the trash cans.  Most of the time, all the trash cans are empty.  She loves to be chased around the house.

I am so happy to have been able to adopt her.  Happy 15th Birthday to my sweet little angel of a dog, Leelee the contented dachshund.

Wordless Wednesday 8/3/2016 A Walk With LeeLee The Contented Dachshund

Wordless Wednesday 8/3/2016 A Walk With LeeLee The Contented Dachshund

Leelee the Contented Dachshund on her morning walk.

Every morning when I first wake up, I am greeted my Leelee the contented dachshund.  She wants to go for a walk.  Leelee like all other dogs likes to sniff everything.  Here she has found some leaves.

It is well known by all the dogs in the neighborhood, that many different cats have lived under this shed.  All the dogs like to check it out on the daily walks.

Leelee the contented has spotted a rabbit.

Dachshunds are hunting dogs.  They love to chase other animals.  Leelee the content dachshund is no different.  She spotted a rabbit and she was off.  That is until she could no longer see the rabbit, then she stopped.  Time to go home for a rest.

Leelee the Dachshund Barked!

There is something under daddy's car!

Leelee the Dachshund Barked

Anyone who has ever had a dachshund knows, these little dogs are not afraid of anything.  They think they are bigger than what they are.  Dachshunds will bark at anything.  That is most dachshund will bark at anything.  My dachshund Leelee hardly ever barks.  When Leelee does bark, it’s a big deal.

Last night Leelee the dachshund started barking at something.  I was taking Leelee out at night when she started barking.  I looked around, but there was no one in sight.  She was near the car and barking like there was something there.  Sure, enough something came flying out from under the car.  Leelee, the dachshund, chased whatever it was to my backyard.  She had it cornered under my shed.

What is Leelee the dachshund Barking At?

I 'm going to get it.

It was dark out so I couldn't tell what she had cornered.   Whatever she had cornered didn't want her barking at it.  I thought it was a cat; that is until I heard it hiss at Leelee.  It was no cat.  I decided that Leelee the dachshund had enough, and it was time to go back in the house.

I didn't want whatever it was to hurt Leelee.  Leelee, the dachshund, is no puppy.  She acts like a puppy sometimes even though she is almost fifteen years old.  I didn't want the animal to hurt Leelee; that is why I brought her back into the house.  I love to hear her bark since she doesn't bark that much.  The animal she had cornered had her going.  I have never heard bark so much.

I never did figure out what Leelee the dachshund had chased under my shed.  I did no one thing for sure; that was that it was no cat.  If it had been a cat, I would have let her play with it.  Leelee, the dachshund, likes cats.  There are many cats in my neighborhood that she likes to play with, that was why I let her chase it in the first place.  I really did think it was a cat.
